Land Survey - Topographic and Boundary
WCEC became a Thai certified survey company in 2009. We have many satisfied customers from both private and international companies, who needed a land survey before deciding what to do with their land. WCEC can prepare two types of surveys - topographic and boundary.
When is a survey needed?
A survey is strongly recommended before buying, sub-dividing, improving or building on any piece of land. Surveying the parcel, protects against the expense and frustration of subsequently defending a lawsuit, moving a building, or resolving a boundary dispute.
What is a boundary survey?
A boundary survey determines the property lines of a parcel of land as described in the title deed. It will also indicate the extent of any easements or encroachments, and may show limitations imposed on the property by state or local regulations.
What is a topographic survey?
The purpose of a topographic survey is to gather survey data about the natural and man-made features of the land, as well as its elevations. From this information a three-dimensional map can be prepared. A topographic map may be prepared in the office after collecting the field data, or drawn up in the field by plane table. The work usually consists of the following:
- Establishing horizontal and vertical controls that will serve as the framework for the survey.
- Determining horizontal location and elevation ground points (usually called side shots), to provide enough data for plotting the map.
- Locating such natural and man-made features as may be required by the specification of the survey.
- Computing distances, angles, and elevations.
- Drawing the Topographic Map.
Topographic surveys are commonly configured with horizontal and/or vertical control of third and lower order accuracies.
